item upgrading  and Components

An upgrade item is a special item that can make certain Pokemon change. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools in order to boost their level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests depending on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be placed into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to give attribute bonuses or additional effects when the equipment is utilized. The item being upgraded must have an available upgrade slot to accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be above a certain level. Some upgrade components also have special effects when they are added to an equipment piece. Upgrade components can be acquired by crafting, purchased from karma merchants or exchanged with other players on the Trading Post or used to repair equipment, or obtained as rewards during games.

A variety of upgrade components are available, each providing an individual bonus. Universal upgrades like gems and inscriptions are able to be used on any type of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be found in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, while enrichments are used to upgrade certain items that are ascended back. Inserting an upgrade component will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, that can only be placed in gathering tools, and enchantments. Both are able to be removed and reinserted.

Insignias or enchantments, as well as upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia would change the name into Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will show the number of upgrades that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements like ligatures and ornaments, fractions and swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters, as well as normal glyphs, such as em dashes and en dieshes, registered trademark symbols and characters that are not found in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides an initial boost in stats for the character. The glyph could also be equipped with up to four secondary stats which will affect its radius on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase which is multiplied once other bonuses have been applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

Selecting the Glyphs and clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will open a new window showing the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the selected item. Be aware that only the correct type of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for and each weapon, piece of jewelry or armor piece has a different set of available Glyphs.

Glyphs can be upgraded through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult a dungeon is, the greater Glyph experience you will gain. Once a Glyph has reached level 15 it can be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.

Once a Glyph has reached the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will give its stated benefit and increase the number of nodes that are within its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed in areas that will benefit your build the most. This is why you should consider Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Some glyphs, however, might offer dual benefits in the event that certain conditions are met, so they're worth looking out for too.

Click the cycle widget to change the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views will display the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by choosing an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation only displays punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the options to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling involves creating an account on a different account to increase your chances of obtaining the weapon or character you'd like. This can aid in your progress to higher levels or to gain more loot, for example, a better weapon for your current character. A lot of players will reroll until the character they want is available, regardless of its power. It could be because they like the style or the personality of the character.

When you reroll, you need to make sure that the changes you are making are clean. You should verify locally whether the patch is approved by pre-commit and run a Core dev check. Upload the patch with a clear distinction to a bug (see What is an interdiff?) ).

Rerolls may be weeks or days long depending on how fortunate you are. During this time, it is recommended to avoid enemy camps that are optional to avoid wasting time. Also, avoid repeating quests which can be completed later in the game. This will save you time and energy.

Another important aspect to consider when rerolling is to make sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to enhance your character's appearance as well as power. Upgrades, rerolling characters and upgrading weapons are all options. It is also important to know the limitations of the system.

Rerolling is not a necessary element of the game however it can be beneficial to increase your chances of obtaining the right weapon or character. It could be beneficial when you're trying to find the best character or if you're wanting to try different builds and play styles.

Sets

A set is a group of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a class). Sets can be used for operations such as intersection, union, and differences.

When you upgrade a set item, it is an upgraded version that is superior to the previous one. For weapons and armor, this means it gains a higher base defense value, a lower strength requirement and an lower requirement for level.

Upgrades can bring items that are popular from single sets up to the same level as those in higher-end sets. For example, upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to Elite Spired Helm can increase the defense from 217 to 321 while reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a lower range.

However, it's important to note that not all set items are candidates for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield or Naj's puzzler staff, are already exceptional in their own way and don't require any upgrades. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are frequently used may benefit from an upgrade to boost their stats. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
